On March 29, 2025 EEC Line Company organized the event Emergency drill for chemical spill and chemical recovery, Level 2 At the parking lot of EEC Line Headquarters, Map Kha, Rayong Province
Objective of the activity
- To test the preparedness of operations in case of an accident involving chemical transportation
- To coordinate collaboration among internal teams (Safety, Operations, Customer Service)
- To instill confidence in customers and stakeholders regarding the company's safety standards
Simulate the scenario
In this simulation, a trailer carrying sulfuric acid (19,000 liters) rolled down from the parking lot due to the handbrake being left off and collided with a truck carrying naphthalene (45,000 liters) waiting for refueling below, causing a chemical spill of both substances
Steps of operation
- Secure the incident area
- Inspect the chemicals and assess the damage
- Notify external agencies for assistance
- Restore the area to normal operational condition
